Series 289 Spill Resistant Atmospheric Vacuum Breakers prevent the reverse flow of polluted water from entering into the potable water supply due to backsiphonage. It consists of bronze body construction (289) or chrome finish (289C), silicone rubber check disc, stainless steel springs, a lightweight plastic disc float that minimizes deposits and scaling, a spring-loaded atmospheric vent with O-ring, and a spill-resistant diaphragm seal. Series 289 has a compact, space-saving design, and is ideal for health hazard applications requiring continuous pressure such as on chemical dispensers or factory machine equipment. Maximum Pressure:150psi (10.34 bar), Minimum Pressure: 8psi (.55 bar).
